Jack Matthews arrived in Dallas in 1994 with years of experience leading major Canadian developments. With seven investors who believed in his vision, he established Matthews Southwest Headquarters in Lewisville. Early bets, including the 1997 purchase of the historic 1913 Sears Roebuck building in the Cedars neighborhood and the 2000 opening of South Side on Lamar, helped transform the area. Today, we operate across four continents.
