CN and Congebec to Expand Cold Chain Logistics Across North America

CN and Congebec announced a partnership to build a new state-of-the-art cold storage facility at CN’s Calgary Logistics Park in Alberta. The project—developed with construction partner Matthews Tribal—will integrate cold storage, cross-docking, transloading, and first- and last-mile services directly with CN’s rail network. This proximity to rail aims to improve the speed, reliability, and efficiency of moving temperature-sensitive goods across North America and globally. The initiative strengthens Canada’s cold supply chain, supports sustainable logistics, and enhances market competitiveness for producers and retailers.
