Project Coordinator, Matthews Hospitality

Alex serves as Project Coordinator at Matthews, bringing over six years of diverse administrative and project management experience to the hospitality division. Alex began her career in the non-profit sector as a development coordinator, where she successfully planned and executed large-scale fundraising events, developing strong organizational and project coordination skills.

Prior to joining Matthews, Alex spent nearly four years as an executive assistant at the corporate office of Omni Hotels and Resorts, supporting the finance, operations, and marketing departments. This experience honed her attention to detail, deadline management capabilities, and ability to execute complex tasks with minimal direction—skills that exemplify Matthews' commitment to excellence.

In her current role, Alex provides comprehensive executive support to hospitality division leadership, managing travel logistics and overseeing RFQ/RFP/RFI submissions. Her innovative approach is evident in her notable achievements, including leading a complete website redesign and transforming the hospitality division's presentation materials and proposal templates to enhance client engagement and professional standards.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Trinity University, providing her with strong analytical and communication skills that enhance her project coordination capabilities.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two young sons, reading fiction, and preparing meals for her family.
