Dougal Sutherland is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Associate at Matthews, bringing more than 20 years of international experience in project management and building surveying.

Prior to joining Matthews, Dougal was a Senior Director at CBRE / Turner & Townsend where he led multidisciplinary project delivery across the UK and Asia Pacific for major global clients.

At Matthews, Dougal leads project delivery across a diverse portfolio of major developments. He combines technical rigour with commercial insight, helping clients achieve both immediate objectives and long-term value.

Specialising in industrial and logistics developments, Dougal has delivered more than 6 million sq ft of Grade A warehouse accommodation and was seconded to one of the UK's leading logistics developers. His notable projects include Gulfstream's first private jet MRO facility outside the United States and the UK's Vaccine Manufacturing and Innovation Centre, delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic.
