Jacques is an Associate Director in Matthews' cost management department, bringing nearly two decades of expertise to the role since entering the industry in 2005. His career includes senior positions at respected firms such as Turner & Townsend, Blair-Anderson, and KBR, where he contributed to landmark projects including Expo 2020 Dubai, Abu Dhabi International Airport, MUC21 Parkstadt Schwabing in Munich, and the award-winning Opera House Downtown Dubai.
Jacques currently oversees the delivery of multiple cutting-edge vertiports across the UAE, supporting the world's first electric drone-based air taxi network. This pioneering project positions the UAE as a global leader in advanced aerial mobility and sustainable transport infrastructure. His responsibilities include cost planning, procurement strategy, commercial management, and ensuring each facility is delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.
Jacques leads commercial and cost control functions throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility through to final account. He specializes in budgeting, contract administration, value engineering, and risk management whilst ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards. His role extends to client engagement, team leadership, and strategic advisory services that support informed decision-making.
A graduate of TUT with a bachelor's degree in quantity surveying and building diploma, Jacques is a registered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
