Manoj Unnikrishnan is Planning Director at Matthews and a Senior Planner and Project Controls Specialist with more than 30 years of experience across the Middle East. He brings deep expertise in programme management, project controls and strategic planning to complex developments and major infrastructure projects.

Throughout his career, Manoj has supported the delivery of major high-rise, hospitality, mixed-use, residential, aviation, sports, retail and infrastructure projects. Working with leading project management consultancies and contractors, he has developed integrated master programmes, project controls frameworks and schedule risk strategies that provide clients with confidence throughout the project lifecycle.

At Matthews, Manoj partners with multidisciplinary teams from project inception through to completion, establishing robust planning and reporting systems, driving programme recovery, managing schedule risk and delivering data-driven insights that strengthen project performance and enable informed decision-making.

A recognised leader in project controls, Manoj has extensive experience in critical path analysis, earned value management and delay analysis, helping clients mitigate programme risk and successfully defend complex extension of time claims. He is highly proficient in Primavera P6, developing integrated baseline programmes, executive dashboards and performance reporting that support successful project delivery.

His notable projects include the Palm Jebel Ali master development in Dubai, where he developed the portfolio master programme, Al Thumama Stadium in Doha, delivered ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022, and Msheireb Downtown Doha, one of the region's most significant mixed-use regeneration developments.

Manoj holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, a Master's degree in Construction Management, and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) and Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP).
