Paul brings over 35 years of global construction and infrastructure expertise to his role as Project Director at Matthews, where he delivers commercial clarity and strategic cost management to complex aviation programs.
His career includes serving as Director with AECOM in Abu Dhabi, leading cost and commercial functions for major airport terminals across the Middle East. He later founded a specialist consultancy in New Zealand that resolved over 30,000 complex insurance claims following the Christchurch earthquakes.
At Matthews, Paul oversees cost planning, risk management, and value engineering across two new aviation terminal projects, ensuring financial decisions are grounded and aligned with client objectives. He balances performance, cost, and schedule while identifying innovative solutions that safeguard budgets without compromising quality.
Notable achievements include leading cost management for Abu Dhabi's Guggenheim and Louvre museums and contributing to Capital Gate, recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's "farthest manmade leaning building."
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from the University of Greenwich and is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
