Robin serves as Director of Development at Matthews, bringing over three decades of expertise in real estate and infrastructure development across Canada since 1989. His extensive professional background encompasses managing complex projects including the approvals and entitlement for 600 acres of industrial land in Caledon, developing over 360,000 square feet of design-build industrial space in Mississauga, and overseeing the redevelopment of a 100-acre former industrial site in Montreal.
Robin's diverse portfolio includes major transit initiatives such as Metrolinx's Ontario Subway Line, TTC's Waterfront East Light Rail Transit Extension, and Metrolinx's Crosstown LRT Station Design. He has also managed telecommunications infrastructure projects, including the 2010 Vancouver Olympics Bell IP network and national fibre optic deployments. Prior to Matthews, Robin was Senior Director at Altus Group, where he established and led a national infrastructure team specializing in real estate valuation and regulatory approvals.
In his current role, Robin oversees the entitlement process for multimillion-dollar developments, managing project budgets and consultant teams while building relationships with communities, municipal councils, and Provincial Ministries. His notable achievements include coordinating a Minister's Zoning Order for over 2.2 million square feet of industrial space in Caledon.
Robin holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Waterloo and is a Professional Land Economist. He maintains memberships in OPPI, IRWA, and AOLE, and received OPPI's 25 Year Service Award. Outside work, Robin enjoys cycling, golf, hockey, and cottage weekends with family.
