Since 1997, Matthews and its partners have stewarded more than $300 million in development across the South Side District, advancing a mix of residential communities, creative office spaces, retail concepts, and boutique hospitality offerings. This investment does not include the Omni Dallas Hotel ($450 million, 1,001 rooms), which Matthews delivered for the City of Dallas and which sits immediately north of Matthews’ holdings along Lamar Street.
To date, approximately 2.5 million sq ft have been developed in the South Side District. Since Matthews began its redevelopment efforts, the district has supported the creation of roughly 2,000 new jobs, contributing to sustained growth and new opportunities for surrounding communities.
