Originally founded in 1997 in Austin, Texas, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is famous for its strict policy of requiring its audiences to maintain proper cinema-going etiquette. The Dallas Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is located at the Gateway into the South Side area. It features seven state of the art movie screens and a pub style restaurant and bar with an outdoor patio overlooking the Dallas skyline.Antique brick salvaged from other buildings in the South Side area was used both inside and outside of the theater as homage to the great history in downtown Dallas.
