The Dallas Water Commons is a dynamic public–private partnership between the City of Dallas and The Dallas Wetlands Foundation. This wetlands project is unique because of its location – the urban core of one of the fastest-growing U.S. cities. The future of cities is linked to: water conservation, water filtration, and flood management. The Dallas Water Commons provides all three.
Matthews Southwest is a key partner in the development of the Dallas Water Commons, a transformative 17-acre urban wetlands park in the Cedars neighborhood. The firm is collaborating with the City of Dallas, the Trinity Trust Foundation, and Studio Outside to convert an industrial site into a public space that filters stormwater runoff before it enters the Trinity River.
As a real estate development and investment firm, Matthews Southwest is contributing its expertise in urban development and project management to ensure the successful implementation of the Dallas Water Commons.
