Matthews is advancing Milton Link, a multi-phase employment development on lands adjacent to the CN Milton Logistics Hub, currently under construction in the Town of Milton.
Positioned at the convergence of Britannia Road, Highway 25, Tremaine Road and Lower Base Line, the site sits at the intersection of major highway corridors and one of Canada's most significant new rail infrastructure investments.
The proposal will introduce approximately 8.7 million sq ft of new industrial gross floor area across 11 buildings, developed in four phases. The development is expected to generate up to 5,300 permanent local jobs, 17,300 construction jobs, $200 to $260 million in Development Charge revenue and $20 to $25 million in annual property taxes for the Town of Milton and Region of Peel.
Matthews is working with the community, municipal staff and key stakeholders to advance the Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment applications required to bring the lands into the Urban Boundary with an employment designation.
